Need Your Opinion on the Attitude Eclipse Toy Hauler brand

Hi All,
I am new here and would love to purchase a small (18ft) Toy Hauler for weekend trips with my Motorcycle and teenagers. I really like the layout of the 2014 Attitude Front kitchen 18' hauler (need it small enough to park in my drive way). Based on your knowledge, how well made are these? Any typical problems? And, as a first time buyer, what are some of the things that I need to look for?
Your help is appreciated.
  • Never owned an attitude, but in general some of things I would look for would be:
    -signs of water intrusion/leaks throughout
    -run the generator
-get on roof and check for soft spots...water intrusion
-look underneath frame/tanks look for cracks-bends-breaks
-check to make sure all appliances work
    -check tire sidewalls for cracking/bulges...etc

Since it is a 2014 most of the factory defects have probably been dealt with so that is a plus. I am sure there are others here that have direct experience with the Attitude brand.
  • I have a 2012 CBG27 that we use for motox. Mine has been pretty good except for Lippert frame cracking issues, which were handled under warranty at no cost to me. I've towed it some 13000 miles and we've really enjoyed it.

TH build quality varies all over the place. IMHO, ALL the "standard" brands are hit and miss. Mine was pretty good - some trim peices not well done, sawdust in the vents, other minor issues I fixed myself. Just make sure you do a really good PDI on it and try to do a shakedown overnighter the very first day or two.

Bought mine at Toy Hauler liquidators in Fresno. Knew what I wanted and what I would pay. Never been back since I bought it so service dept not important to me.

  • Awesome!! Thanks for the info. I know there is much to learn about this and don't want to go in blindly. I will have to check out the place in Fresno.
