Nev R Lube bearing replacement

After having reservations about buying parts before taking a look at the condition of the originals first it is looking like the right decision was made.

Bearings of the first wheel removed are fine but the second was another story. No evidence of failure other than a small amount of leakage. However once the drum was off the bearing was found to be loose & wobbly inside.

That is one wheel getting a new drum & bearing that was ordered.
  • How many miles will you say are on those nev-r -lubes?

    Guesstimate, about 80,000 miles.

Jerry, thanks for the torque setting. Did not know other than the nut was awful tight. Now I know why.

  • I replaced two bearing sets. With the drum off there should be bearing movement. The 150lb nut torque tightens the bearings up against the inner races.
