5th wheel NOSE HIGH.....
Causes excessive loading/wear on rear axle/tires
Causes 'lighter' pin weight
Causes 'chucking' due to lighter pin weight
5th wheel needs to be 'level' when towing for best results.
Cutting spring shackle mounts off and then welding square tubing to frame and then welding shackle mounts back on is common method.
Add shackle mount cross supports by welding square tube side to side.
Repositioning springs to 'lower' holes in shackles will raise trailer.
IF you have adjustment holes
OR modify shackles for making adjustment holes.
Again best to add some type of bracing such as boxing shackles in (add plate to make shackle a 3 sided box)
Installing the 'Correct Track Alignment Kit'...it aligns F/R axles on trailer.
BUT added benefit is it adds 2" in height to trailer
