In my year '03 model Dodge truck there were shorter rear suspension blocks available from Dodge for 4x4 trucks owners to lower bed height. Check with a area Ram truck dealer or give Ram tech folks a 1-800 for info.

The suspension sub frame lift is the safest way to lift a conventional trailer.
