New Eclipse LED Flood Lights

Sounds like a common problem with dealers here in CA. I am hoping my local RV shop will be able to handle any warranty work once we buy a new TH so I can avoid the dealerships.

After the sale these guys NEVER return emails or phone messages. Have been trying for three months now to get a defective/warped interior door to the bathroom replaced and keep getting the runaround from these guys.

What dealer did you buy from?

Yeah I have had a good experience working with them directly. Kathy who is their main email contact is great to work with and always responds very quickly.

Now, some of their local dealers including the one I purchased from I have a much different opinion about. I'll just leave it at that...

Good you found the cause!

I had issues with one of my timers for outdoor lights. My CFL lights would occasionally flicker, when I went to LEDs was a frequent pulse. Once I dug into things I found my old timer was totally not compatible with LEDs and was actually a fire hazard. That led to a lot of reading; garage door wasn't LED compatible, several dimmers were not.

Point to all of that is you might want to check around, I bet that either they used a cheap incompatible dimmer or it's wired wrong. I found the manager/owner at BatteriesPlus really knew their stuff about LED switches. The guys at the big box hardware stores had no clue.

I found out what's getting these LED drivers so hot. It's the dimmer switch... If I run the side floods at full output the drivers only get warm. I can still hold them in my hand but they are fairly warm. If I turn down the dimmer the drivers get EXTREMELY hot to the point it will burn your skin. I'm going to be replacing the dimmer switch on the side floods with an on/off switch like the rear floods are on. It was nice to be able to dim the side lights, but after seeing how hot these things get its not worth the fire risk IMO.

On the inside of the cabinet there is a panel with 4 screws holding it. Take the panel off and you have access from the side. Good time to also check all the connections on your switches. Had a couple that were working their way loose.
