When you ask about using the electric jacks, are you talking about the front two to unhook from the truck or the leveling jacks. I'm not surer why you'd need the leveling jacks in the storage area but if you do, use them while hooked up to the truck.
As for the residential refer - how many house batteries do you have, two or four? If only two, I wouldn't do it more than a few hours before hooking up to the truck. Even with four I wouldn't do it overnight until you have more experience with the refer load.
For the slides, again you might be fine, but drive the truck over when showing it and hook up the power to the truck. My slides take lots of power. The batteries get low, they won't come in - then what are you going to do. Do you have an on-board generator?
If you have a liftable generator, take it with you and run it while playing with things. You might be fine, buy you should do your experimenting someplace where you have power.
