I don't have a residential fridge but am considering it for our "next one".
I would get a solar panel at least big enough to maintain the batteries. Also a generator to run while tinkering on the trailer at the storage lot to top off the batteries.
I keep un-opened frozen water bottles at home to help the RV fridge chill down before a trip. If I have room I leave them in the RV fridge and freezer on trips to keep a cold mass in the fridge.
