- kennethwoosterExplorerI was running SRW all these years and realized I was really overweight. Want to buy a Lifestyle about 36-38 foot. Anyway pulling the 'cameo with 2014 DRW F 350 No comparison running
DRW over SRW. Don't let anybody persuade you that SRW is adequate. It will pull it buy not nearly as safe, and comfortable. - 2oldmanExplorer IIChoice is great, isn't it?
- AllworthExplorer IIHave to agree with Me!
Some here seem to need a DRW to haul their landscape trailer to the local dump. - Me_AgainExplorer IIISome think you need a duallie to tow your small utility trailer to the dump. Ram's 3500 SRW will tow OP trailer within all its numbers.
Ordered correctly the numbers are something like this.
Trailer 17,200
RGAWR 7,000
GVWR 12,200
GCWR 25 or 26k
Chris - MTPockets1Explorer350/3500 DRW is the only answer... Unless you want an overkill you could go to 450 or bigger. Promoting Anything less than 350 DRW is pure fiction.

And with what wisdom is statement made? Air springs(bags) do not increase the trucks capacity. They are just a crutch and prop up a truck.

He's being facetious.
350/3500 DRW. The new 450 actually has a lessor rear GAWR than the 350. - TXicemanExplorer II

An MDT or HDT.
Suggest you spend some time on the Escapees Forums for each of the above.
A singled HDT will not even know your new trailer is back there....
a used HDT can be had for less than the price of *any* of the new trucks suggested - with a B50 rating of at (or close to) a million miles.
Avail with manual, partial auto ("Autoshift" - clutch at stop/start), or full auto tranny.
Can be registered as a MH in most states - no special license req'd.

Would love the F-450 just due to the turning radius. No regrets on what I have and no plans on changing anything.
