Except I have been running 80 PSI, looking at the weight chart for 2,500 lbs and adding 10% I should be 55 psi :(
Yeah thats the problem we get into when we over size tires on our trailers...... too much.
Thats why folks with decades of experience in the rv and non rv trailer world/tire blogs from tire experts and other tire blogs/and even tire mfg recommends a bit of reserve over the vehicles GAWR. That way by using max pressures we can take 100 percent advantage of the tires capacity/performance/long term reliability.
Personally from a end users standpoint and from actual experience I could care less what the tire placard says about tire pressures or tire size/type. Hellz many folks are better at selecting a safer/long term tire for a trailer than the trailer mfg.
Look at a 11500 lb Carriage Domani 5200 lb axles with optional P285/50/20R Goodyear Fortena tires on the tire placard. This is a good case where an experienced trailer owner will not replace with the same under rated/overloaded P tires on the silly tire placard.
Plenty of other examples of how ignorant trailer mfg's are at choosing a safe/long term tire for 1st retail sale.
