Well, they could move 100 miles west to the southeast side of Chicago and hire enterprising and hard working Poles and Mexicans. Have to pay more though but you get what you pay for.
It doesn't help the quality of help in northeastern Indiana that the heavy industrial work in northwestern Indiana, miils and refineries and such, pays much better.
