New Tire Recommendations

Hello,
I have a 2013 Cyclone 2812 and am in need of new tires this spring. It has the Tow Max from the factory and they did good other than one crowning last year. They warrantied 75% of it toward a new Commadore. I have not seen too many good reviews of the commodore so I will most likely look at another brand and replace it. Does anyone have a good recommendations? Size is 235/80R 16E
Thanks in advance!!
  • The only thing with Bridgestones R250's that you have to watch is your axle weights. With your Toy Hauler, you might weigh more than I think.. but I would not hesitate to buy Sailun 637's either. Tons of them out there in commercial use, and they are ST rated, but super heavy duty.
  • A lot depends on what your axles are rated, and whether you want to stick to those ratings when you get new tires.

If you have 6,000 lb. rated axles or under then you can go with a Michelin rib or other "E" rated LT tire. If you have 7,000 lb. axles then your choices are pretty much Sailun or Goodyear in a "G" rated tire. If you chose the "G" rated tires you'd need to ascertain that your rims will handle the higher pressures.
  • We really like our Michelin XPS Rib but I don't know if they are made in the size you need.
  • I am buying a new set of Carlisles. Everyone has an opinion and experience with tires. Keep them properly inflated and stay away from Chinese tire companies. Many American companies make tires overseas, including China, but their standards will be the same if the were made here. Just my opinion...
