Class A Tire Recommendations

Michelins are over rated and way over priced and don't stand up or last any better than some cheaper ones.I just installed two continental 2958022.5 drive tires and they ride and steer just great
and 250Per tire cheaper than michelins

I put Continental HSR2's on my 05 Allegro Bus. My next tire if needed will be the same

AB, let me be the first one to welcome you to RV.Net! Do your tire research when you find the tire Brand and model that you like, then by that model in the highest sidewall rating possible. Right now I believe the highest sidewall ratings are H.

And you have used every other brand of tire and check your air pressure every few miles and the Michelins still are no good?
Making general statements about a particular brand of tire means nothing. Many people that have used Michelins are happy with them and would buy them again. They are still the number one tire installed on new Class A coaches, when the manufacturer certainly could save money using cheap tires.
I can count on one hand the number of people at RV parks that check the tire air pressure before they get on the road. I even had people with TPMS say that the buzzer will go off as soon as they put a few miles on the tires and they warm up.
There are only two manufacturers that make tires specifically for RV's. They are Goodyear and Michelin. All of the rest are truck tires.

my gawd man where did I say the Michelins were no good and NO I don't check my AP every few miles that's ridiculous at best
ALL I said was I found the continental was in my area about $250PT cheaper.I looked at the load ratings,speed rating,ply ratings etc and they looked as good or better in my view
I installed them and drove it about 50 miles and the tires are wonderfull as in ride, noise, steering and balance.I personally could care less about truck tire verses RV tire
No one will convince me to pay a extra 1500$ for 6 Michelins verses a tire as good as continental

If you had a XRV blowout sitting still... guess that's better than at 65 and Michelin did nothing you would not be singing they're great. I doubt my 14K front axle can tell the difference in a RV or truck tire on it... I sure can't tell any difference.
OP, Toyo and Hankook are used by many on here including me.

Not wanting to get into the politics of tires, but sure like my Hankook 275/70/22.5 AH 12's Load Rating H.

Installed in 2012.

Still ride like new.

Treat them regularly with 303 Aerospace. No cracks or sidewall checking. No river wear like the Goodyear 670's that were replaced.

And yes, I check air pressure regularly (even in the CG before I roll!).
