We did not take it there since I am afraid to tow it. But we did speak to their service manager and sent them the pictures and they said the claim will be denied on the roof unless it gets worse (They require a 24" x 24" bubble to repair.
I tried once to re-produce the problem with the hitch but I could not while on flat ground. I was not able to move the latch back like it was when the ball released the first time. I'm worried that a sudden jarring motion, like having to brake hard could cause enough pressure to push the latch back with the pin still in it again. Or maybe just backing up my driveway with it fully loaded but if it did Pop off the ball while backing up the driveway, serious damages to trailer truck, homes down the street, injury or death could result.
