Pacific Coachworks Sand Sport Toy Hauler

I buddy of mine just bought a 2015 Sand Sport Toy Hauler It's a 27 foot FBSL.

Trouble trying to figure out the audio system. He has a Touch screen audio deck which also plays DVD for the TV. Small DVD deck plays the same video as it's playing the video on the 32 inch TV. Must be a way to turn that off so you don't have two going at the same time?

When playing DVD the audio come out of the interior roof speakers and OUTSIDE speakers. Which can be a problem when watching TV inside and having the audio being broadcasted over the outside speakers. Cant figure out how to turn the outside speakers off. There is a large knob that says Bose next to the DVD/Audio player when you turn it nothing happens..

Second problem
We are camping next to each other no over the air tv reception here. I have outside satellite (portable satellite dish) that I wired so I can watch Sat TV outside the trailer it works fine. I ran a coax from my outside sat connection to his outside cable connection. Switch the coax on the inside of his trailer from antenna to Sat and put TV on channel 3. Should have worked....But it didn't. If anyone can shed any light on this system it would be appreciated.
  • if you cant figure it out, call pacific coachworks they are awesome with help, we bought a 2014 brand new and I have called them a handful of times with questions and each time they have been so helpful.
  • Figured out the outside speakers. Found a controller hidden in a cabinet that turns on the sub woofer but the Boss knob does not seem to do anything. Sat connection still not working from my unit to his..
  • Thanks for posting that. Looking over their catalog and features it doesn't look like they have optical or coax digital connections which would limit their applicability to us.

Did you get the connection working?
  • By the way - does that manual show who the maker of that touch-screen deck is? I'm interested in contacting them to see if theirs might be appropriate for an upcoming project.

Thanks for the offer he has a manual I have looked through it. Very confusing system. I think it's a car deck that is being used in a RV with multiple speakers (inside and outside plus large base unit) I adjusted the equalizer setup but could not get the outside speakers to drop off. I imagine once you get it set the way you want it you will probably never mess with it again.

For my Rig, I wired it for Sat. I have a Sat out on the back of my receiver I use that for TV in the garage and outside TV of my toy hauler.

The outside sat jack for outside TV, I should be able just to run that coax over to his Rig (of course he will have to watch what I am watching) and plug it into his outside cable, switch his tv connection to Satellite and put tv on channel 3..Should work...But... It doesn't... Works fine over at my Rig....

On most newer RV's there are two separate splitters, one for the satellite connection which is designed to take the sat antenna to sat tuner box link (input from sat antenna) and has a frequency-appropriate splitter, and the cable link which has a different frequency-appropriate splitter. That's the RF one. Most likely the sat side isn't passing the rf signal coming from the output of your sat tuner.

Hook your output up to his cable side, make sure his tv is plugged into that, and set for chan 3. Make sure his TV is set for antenna and it should see your signal.
  • Alright figured out how to control the speakers. This is a touch screen system and when in the equalizer mode there is a icon for fader control. Once I got into the fader I was able to turn the outside speakers off. Now I am trying to figure out the Boss Sub Woofer and control....

  • I think that same system is used in the Tesla toy haulers, I noted that it plays the same video on the small screen and the connected tv. I don't remember who made it.

If you can find out the manufacturer from his, we can look for a manual online to figure it out.

As for the sat/cable setup, I gather that you connected the RF (coax) chan 3 output from your sat box to his sat input? The sat input is normally intended to take the output from the sat antenna and run it to the sat input on a sat box.

If you are running an RF output from your sat box to his trailer, you need to connect to the antenna/cable input on his trailer and then turn his TV to channel 3.
  • I would ask a teenager for help. I don't use the TV, DVD, etc. in mine. Good luck.
