Hi Everyone, Finally going to beak down and buy a new 3/4 ton F-250. I want to buy a 1/2 ton towable 5ver so I know it will take at least a F-250. My big question...do I really need a 4 wheel dri...

"I" don't care what truck you buy, but I can tell you from personal experience when you are out with friends going to the Painted Canyon, no cell service, 90+ temps, miles from the main road and your truck starts to bog down in the gravel road that just turned to sand you WILL say "Thank GOD for 4X4".
This is another good one. It was just getting dark I was at Camp the wife took the truck to town to get her hair done. She called all in a panic "the truck is stuck". GPS told her to take a road that would get her to Camp but it was sand and gravel.
Told her how to put it in 4wd, no go she said! OH SH!T!!! I told her how to get it into 4 low. It took right off! So she continued on the "road" until reaching asphalt and I explained how to get back to 2 high. So another "Thank GOD for 4X4".
Convinced??????
