Newbie Fifth Wheel Buyers...Need advice

My husband and I are looking to become full timers in a 5th wheel. We are looking for any advice from more experienced RVers. Is there a way to make a living being a full time traveler? We both have small businesses that can travel with us. Would that be doable or should we have a large amount in savings before we sell everything and hit the road?

  • WAY TO LITTLE INFO to even give any advice. Is you husband a consultant? Do you sell Avon or Mary Kay ? What is your annual income? What can you live on? Is there any occasions where either of you need to be physically present? Is the intent to work from home or retire with added income?
I'm retired and would be willing to share my expertise on a part time basis but that isn't what corporate America is looking for. Oh well, never planned on working after retirement any how. :)
  • True love will be determined when you spend 24/7 confined in an area that small. Good luck to you.
  • How many hours a day do these businesses take? Camp hosting can stretch and suppliment any income you have. There are volunteer and paid positions all over the country. Some last a month some ask for 3 or 6 months stay in one place.
Without that you will likely want 3 to 4 thousand a month to make it worthwhile.
