Was using the furnace tonite but noticed the fan kept running but the air from the vents were cool.Swapped tanks but didnt make a difference. Got propane at the cook stove. What should i look for? Its a 95 Alpenlite Riviera 29RK.One other thing. I filled the tanks last week but the propane indicator never changes whether the tanks are on or off.

It sounds as though the indicator is the only thing that is malfunctioning on your auto regulator since you have good flow to the stove. While the furnace may require a higher flow of propane, I doubt that the regulator is the issue here. We still do not know if the changeover function works. May want to replace it.I am not an expert on furnaces so someone else may have to chime in. There is a sail switch that has to come on for the flow of propane to start. This detects air flow. In a rig as old as yours, these can fail or get so dirty that they don't work right. Also be sure the exhaust is not plugged with wasp nests etc. I think that would be a good start.

Shut the valve back off on the tank. Then turn it on very slowly. If opened too fast flow will be stopped.

Are you running on battery or plugged in? To low of voltage and the burner will not ignite, just keep running the fan.

Were you trying to run the heat to make sure it worked even though it was warm inside?In other words, was the fan set to "lo" or "hi" so the fan ran non-stop but the heat did not ignite because it was set at 72 but it was much warmer in the camper.Just checking the simple things first.

I do know the indicator on propane indicators can be bad. I've had several that just did not work. As far as heater my only experience is I had the board go out. I also know if you have run out of propane while heater is not, you will need to turn heater off and then back on.

I guess my meter doesnt do amperage. Ive checked the shore power pole voltage and the outlets voltage and they are both inside 117 volts.

Yes, but not only that, the actual wires inside the camper. If you can, take your 30A plug apart and make sure all of the wires are tight and corrosion free. Then with it plugged up, check the amperage on the wires coming into the converter. They should be the same.

I would tend to think you are correct. Mine was very easy as it stopped putting out at all. But have heard of them doing this very thing. One other thing I would check with a multimeter, is the current at the wires coming into the unit with the unit plugged to make sure your plug is good and a wire hasn't come loose in the plug.

mine went off on high limit due to lack of air flow. Pulled furnace out reset limit and reworked duct system . No issues now lots of air flow. It will kick it off once and every time you try to restart it will just blow cold air

Still hovering around 11.3 volts. I think im satisfied that the convertor is probably the culprit. Anyone agree?

Well, those prices arent too bad. Im gonna watch battery voltages tonite, currently at 11.3v. Maybe, if im lucky, the convertor may have been overheating with the insulation covering the cooling vents and shutting down, causing the battery drain. Im going to pull all that insulation and vaccuum everything out when it stops raining tomorrow.
