Oreion Reeper

Anyone in the TH world know anything about an Oreion Reeper vehicle? A 2015 Reeper Sport for sale in my area caught my eye. Before two days ago I didn't know these things existed. It looks like the perfect TH toy.

From my research:
Manufactured by an American company in China
Parts are difficult to acquire
The 812cc is under powered, this one is 1100cc
Poorly assembled but the design is adequate
Not many upgrades or accessories available

Is this thing worth a look for $8K?
Are they junk?

It looks like a fun machine for the price but I don't want to buy someone else's trouble to find out.

This seems to describe it fairly well.

Here's a pic of what I'm talking about. It's a street legal, flat towable, 5 speed manual transmission vehicle. It looks like a Jeep want-a-b.

  • You can get a good used RZR for that, why take a chance on an unknown that is hard to get parts for.

  • Too many cons for that kind of money, IMO anyway. But OTOH good quality UTV's go for stupid prices so it just depends on whether you can gamble with $8000.
  • Poor quality, hard to get parts, underpowered.
    What's the plus side?
  • I see 4x4s at sam's club for that price, new, not beaten to heck.

  • I ran a search of the archives and found one post, just one. Not much help, but here you go: Post from 2009

Just the fact it was only post and it was from 2009 doesn't give me a very warm fuzzy feeling. Fact that several items on your discovery list would make me look elsewhere.
