Start at 40% off and shoot for 30 to 35% off. Whenever I buy I tell them I want the out the door price, which is tax, title and so on. That way it is easier to compare prices also, forget all the hidden little fees. Good luck.

Don - mileshuffExplorerWhen I bought my 5'er last year I made an offer and stated that would include any dealer added fees with the only other fees being tax and license.
In some states there is a fixed mandatory documentation fee added that all dealers charge. Not sure exactly why but has to do with costs involved in states/dealer handling registration rather than the owner. Many states require the dealer to handle registration, other states allow the owner to drive off with temporary and register it themselves. - fj12ryderExplorer IIISure, and IMHO prices should be fair and above board so you don't have to wheel and deal. But neither one is likely to happen. :)
- Pop-Pop_CExplorerIMHO!!!!! All fees should be included in the original price! Other than lisence and taxes!

When I bought my 5th wheel the dealer wanted to charge a $400 recycle fee for the tires. I said when I get my next set of tires for the trailer I'll pay a recycle fee but not going out the gate. Told him if he didn't take it off the bottom line I was going home. He blamed the girl in the office for that one. They'll try anything to get just a little more of your money.
In AZ, the "tire disposal fee" for smaller tires is 2% up to $2 per tire, of which, the dealer can keep 10 cents, if I'm reading AZ Revised Statues correctly. Typically, you pay about $5/tire at the store. I'll call them on this next time I buy tires. :-) That $400 is ridiculous as you know damn well they would have turned around and put them on a trade-in that needed tires.

- B_O__PlentyExplorer IIDon't forget to add in the cost of a good set of new tires to replace the junk it comes with.
B.O. - BombfixerExplorerMy dealer also tried to tack on these fees to the "out the door price" we agreed on. I called Keystone from his office and asked about the PDI fee and was infirmed that Keystone pays that fee for each RV delivered. Course I had them on speaker phone when I did it. When I went out after they hooked my new Fifth Wheel up and was doing a last minute walk around, I noticed a Camping World of XXXXXX Decal near the door and on the rear bumper. I went back in and asked them his they wanted to reimburse me for the Free Advertising. Did they want to do a yearly payment to me or monthly, otherwise they could remove their decals from my property.

- valhalla360NavigatorThis is all a bunch of bull. When you go into the grocery store and buy a $2 loaf of bread, do they add $0.25 for delivery to the store, $0.25 for advertising and $0.25 for neatly placing it on the shelf.
All the same costs are there for the grocery store(in smaller proportion of course) but they give you an out the door price.
As others have said negotiate an out he door price including taxes. It's easier to do up front but if they start adding things after the fact, walk out. 10-1 odds, they chase you out the door offering to eliminate them (taxes probably not).
