- RollandBExplorerI feel your pain having been there. Even with your insurannce claim, you can still do "betterments" and pay the difference. When we had ours done I put In a better Fantastic Fan in the bedroom and had one installed in the LR where there was only a vent. Power was close by so had one with a remote installed. Good Luck!
- ShadManExplorerThanks for the ideas! Please keep them coming.
I do plan to file an insurance claim when we get home from our trip. - TakingThe5thExplorer

X2. I like to take pictures, print them on 81/2x11 bond paper, then take some measurements and write them in. And maybe later think about adding some lighting upgrades inside and a backup camera outside?
I know the issue is not future wiring project, the problem is with the roof - just trying to help make lemonade out of lemons.
X2 on those Rhino roofs. I'm hearing good things about them too. I have Rhino on my truck bed and I like that it is easy to touch it up if needed, but it's not often needed. - azrvingExplorerHuuummm....maybe make a map of roof trusses, wiring, ducts in case of future installations of solar panels, kayak carriers, etc.
- Golden_HVACExplorerIs your insurance company covering the damage? I have heard of people that where in a hail storm, and the insurance covered $15,000 of the damage, so basically they paid off the RV and bought it back from the insurance company for say $2,500.
That is what you buy insurance for. . .
They will make it look like it was new, by replacing it with the same material that the manufacture installed. Or if the unit is say 3-4 years old, the insurance agent has the option of finding a equal used unit (normally the same model number and manufacture or might upgrade with your approval) and buying that one to replace yours, then sell yours for scrap value. . .
Good luck!
Fred. - calewjohnsonExplorerI would pull up the roof boards and do a proper insulation job. Then put 3/4 inch board back down. May be a project I do in a couple of years...
Also, look into Line-X or Rhino Liner for the roof...have read about great results...
