Outbreak of moths in camper

Out with the fiver this weekend and we are having an outbreak of small moths inside the camper. Can't figure out where there coming from. Really don't have any food or clothing laying around that is suspect. Anyone have any experience with this issue?
When I get home in a couple of days I'll spray bomb it or something but until then we're scratching our heads.
  • We had that issue once. Found a half bag of flour in the pantry that they were all over. Pitched it and they went away shortly afterwards.
  • I have had small moths in my stick house and I had no luck in finding them - until a week ago I poured myself a bowl of cereal and wondered what that thing is in the cereal...yep, a dead moth! I picked it out and ate the cereal. Wonder how many I ate...LOL!

  • I had moths in my garage, took me weeks to trace the source to my bird seeds which I had stored in there
  • My brother just had this moth problem and we tracked it to his dried rice in the cabinet. They will be in the dry food somewhere.
  • I agree you have some food that they are feeding on. Several years ago we had an outbreak of them in the house. You'll have to go thru everything in the cabinets till you find the problem. Remove the food and you'll remove the moth problem. Good luck.
  • Insect eggs are everywhere such as flower, cereals and even peanuts. Take a Payday candy bar and let it sit long enough and a small moth will appear under the cellophane wrapper, hatched out of the peanut. I learned this in my entomology class taught by Dr. Edwards, the famous DDT eater (1973).
  • Lat we got infested with Lady Bugs, they are gone but now this year it's ants!! Bug killer and traps.
  • You can pick up traps for pantry moths at most of the big box stores.
They use pharamones to attract them Trap
