Sorry, but gelcoat does not stand up well in the sun especially if it is a colour & worse if it is not well maintained with good marine products.
RV builders skimp wherever they can to cut weight & gelcoat is heavy. It is also expensive so they will get by with minimums to look good for a couple of years.
Best is clearcoated marine epoxy paint. It is not cheap. It is also heavy. It will also last many years with minimal routine maintenance.

Yeah really. That what it takes when you have a boat that spends 9 months a year in the water & gets subjected to weather like this at its mooring.

I envy people who can take boats home after every use, wash them off, cover them up & not worry about them but you you can't do that with something that weighs 17,000# without trailer, is 32' long & 12'6" wide.
