Painting your hitch ?

I use Gloss Black Ultra Pro Max from Kimble Midwest. It will last about 3 years or so.

Also painted my superglide hitch with Rustoleum Semi gloss black and got new decals for free from the hitch manufacturer.

I use rustoleum in the brush on variety. that way there is no drift. looks very nice all season. I use it on the tongue of the t/t, the WD bars and hitch.

Red Rustoleum gloss (spray).

I used gloss back the last few times...and last year I used bedliner spray and it held up longer.

After painting shoot with a clear spray. It helps cover any imperfections. I can't remember the brand but there's one that we used to do wooden golf club heads with, just to give you an idea of how it can hold up.

2x. Using tape neatly over labels I think makes it look more OEM like.

Rustoleum is my choice, I even emailed the hitch manufacturer for all new decals so I could do a complete job. They sent me a whole set free. (Pullrite Superglide)

I take the top half of my B&W off and have it powder coated if needed, hasn't the last three years - still holding up. It doesn't cost that much more than having it painted.

On the mating surfaces, run something cheap and paint yearly (or more). Bumpers and other things that don't see wear I prefer to prep with a sanding disk (paint stripper for your drill) and paint with rattle can epoxy paint. I did the 3.5 x 3.5 x .25 post for my gate 4 years ago, wipe it with anything and it looks new.
