I haven't bought a RV that way, but I have bought trucks after making sure they would go in my work garage, for instance.
This is a little harder in the case of a 5th wheel. If you don't currently have one you probably don't have a truck setup to pull one.
He could ask the dealer to have someone bring it out on the dealer's vehicle and see if they can get it in the driveway. Figure on paying that driver the standard $100+ an hour for the time he is away from the shop.
