PDI During Winter Question

Hi Everyone got a question for you, ordered a Octane T32C in the fall and now has finally arrived Winter here in PA (was supposed to be delivered in November) and they want me to go out and do the paperwork and PDI. The big problem is they do not want to put water in it as has been checked and winterized. I obviously do not want to do a PDI without water as that is such a big issue if there are leaks and such. So what are my options I understand their issue and have told them mine but what are the options can I put anything in the paperwork that states when come in Spring to pick up that if there are any issues I am not stuck with it? Thoughts?

  • ^^^Above is about the only way to do this in cold Winter temps. Would be best if they could wait for PDI, and payment till Spring, but they would likely be paying interest, so understand their position. If they could hold the warranty paperwork until actual Spring pickup, that would help too. I would not want to do an outdoor PDI in below freezing temps, even without using water.

  • Have them pull it inside their shop, un-winterize it and then check/run all the systems. They aren't busy this time of the year. Then re-winterize.
Be there while they do this and be part of it.

Congrats and good luck with your new rig.

(by the way, I'm not a fan of a winter delivery. You can burn through much of your warranty time while it waits for your first use.)
