I have had 3 new GM's and bought the no drill kit from Husky Valley and installed exactly as per instructions and pin was 2 to 3 inches ahead of axle.
I have looked a several ram trucks and the pin is always on the ones I have looked at behind the axle. Upon closer study it was because of where the cross member on the under side of the box is located leaves no real choice on where to install the rails for the hitch to sit. I would prefer ahead slightly but possibly the Cummins engine weight more than compensates. A lot of people love there Rams and have no problem steering them as far as I know.
