Pin Box vs. Truck Bed Wall: How to Avoid Conflict?

I've had closer issues with the light that's under the overhang. I never thought much about it until I was making a sharp uphill turn to the left one day. I was watching out my left side mirror and noticed that the light lense that's under the front overhang was about 1/4" from the top of the bed rail. Yikes. That was the last thing I though I should be concerned with.
