After two close calls from drivers not paying attention an on open road nearly cut our rv off i purchased a windshield camera.It is in car now but will be in rv when traveling with it.Driving a 53 foot truck for many years i like other person said i move to left lane when in area with many ramps.Being in that lane i only need to scan basically 90degrees forward an to right.At risk of offending some i also drive fast enough so there is no reason for most folks to pass me.I also use signals to comunicate a lane change.
Other thing i think might be cause of many crashes is use of cruse.There is no way a driver can recognise a problem an have his vehicle react nearly as fast as you the driver having your foot on excelerator.In the mean time your vehicle is on fast tack to a crash instead of slowing.I know i am thinking seconds saved but you have to realise it is just natural to come off of accelera brake an tor an hit brake pedal if needed.On cruse you might even not have foot near brake.Well thats my story an i am sticking to it.Drive safe everyone!
