A few years back, it was popular to add a pressure tank or surge tank to the fresh water systems of RV's. The purpose was to have a small reservoir of water available to draw from without the on board...
Thanks for all of the replies. It appears that these accumulator tanks are still available mostly as aftermarket and do work to reduce pump cycling. In my case, the check valve on my pump has a slow leak even after a rebuild kit installation. This causes the pump to run for a second or two to rebuild pressure every 5 to 10 minutes. We just shut the pump off at night so we can sleep peacefully. A tank would not "fix the root problem" but maybe the pump would run for 30 seconds each hour?
