progressive industries 50 amp hardwire question

I just purchased a progressive industry 50amp hardwire surge protector. I want to remove the cable that connects to the socket on the outside of the trailer. Its kind of hard to reach the cable from...

I haven't experienced that situation.....yet, but if it happened and there was no other site available, I'd see if the maintenance folks could fix the pedestal fault or move on. I would NOT shut down the EMS. Electronics are too costly.
