pull rite auto slide problem

I Have a 20K Pull Rite auto slide, and have an issue with it. When I am starting from a stop, the trailer seems to move backwards slightly and bang in the hitch. When I am stopping at a light, the trailer seems to move forward slightly with a bang in he hitch. This cannot be normal?? is there an adjustment that needs to be made to stop this?
  • When the jam nut is adjusted properly not only will it eliminate this play but the hitch head will stay in position without needing a bungee cord when unhooked an will make hitching much easier if the truck is not the same as the trailer side to side.

Yep - to much clearance on the adjustment bolt. This is a regular maintenance item on this hitch.
