I would be inclined to start at the vehicle plug and test for 12V current on the brake wire output. It seems to me that the wiring in the TV plug can be "fragile" and subject to become damaged from a sudden jarring. Next up would be to check the continuity of the brake wire in the RV harness by using a tester, one probe in the kink pin box and the other on the appropriate pin of the harness. Good Luck
