Question about a light weight 5th Wheel

Those are almost the same weight and GVWR as my unit which is 3 ft. shorter. Don't let heavier and more expensive be synonymous as with lightweight and short lived. The Torflex axles on that trailer are more expensive units than comparable hung axles. The weight pickup is probably with the frame but a properly engineered frame can perform extremely well. One note of caution with the Torflex axles: They may have specified them as they were needed to serve as structural cross members for the frame. If you need to lift the trailer to fit your truck it may not be as easy as the leaf spring axles. Mine are flange mounted in frame bosses and aren't going anywhere.
