Question on damage or delamination

Hello all,
A member of the family is trying to offload a 2003 sprinter 5th to us knowing we have a smaller travel trailer. In one of the photos he sent there is some saperation and waves in the back. Would anyone be able to suggest what kind of damage it maybe or how serious a repair job it would be. ***Link Removed***https://imgur.com/a/MxXEG
  • Thanks guys I figured it was to much work. Was also looking at having to add a 5th wheel hitch to the truck.
  • Just walk away. It's lots of work and expensive even doing your own work. I did my own repairs on a winny and I'd never do it again.
  • That RV has some very serious water damage. Look at the lower corner between the tail light and side marker light next to the ladder. The rear wall has become separated from the back wall. That would cost more to repair than it is worth.

    Look at this video:

  • a factory fix would cost more than the rv is worth. fix the leak first. if the rear wall is wooden framed and you can find the "studs" you could fasten down some laminate. but it will have zero resale but if you can get enough use out of it and it is basically free????
    but Run, Forrest run.
is that a slide out that has the lower corner not pulled in tight?
    bumpy

  • That is a bad case of delamination....not good.
The only way to fix it properly is to remove and replace the entire wall and probably the damage underneath.

Cause: water intrusion or glue failure.
The "family member" that is trying to "unload" it on you is probably not doing you a favor unless the price is right.
