Bill001, I would go drive a manual and Aisin equiped truck back to back. ONLY the die hard manual guys are sticking to them now a days. One could not find a manual and got an Aisin and likes it.
If you drive in stop and go traffic at all the manual gets old in a hurry.
Resell on an Aisin will be higher than a manual with a limit following.

Ram is the only manufacturer offering a manual transmission behind the diesel now. There will always be a market for the used manuals as there are some that want nothing else. Doubtful that it will have any affect on resale as those that want a manual will be eager to get one when they can find one. All the others can haggle over the many automatics for sale. Generally speaking the manual is the same age as the truck. It does not get any 'older' when driving in traffic than an automatic would. Oh, wait, you meant to say but didn't that driving the manual in traffic gets old. OK, now I get it.
