For those that leave them out when not towing if you or someone else breaks the big mirror it's a complete replacement. I cracked the small mirror shortly after getting my Ram. Went to the dealer and got the small mirror. Dealer said I'd have to replace the whole mirror if I'd broke the large mirror. Just saying.
Alway's have them up, since 05 Chevy dually that I purchased in May of 05 through today and have never had anything happen to a mirror on my dually...not in 10 years..
