On my 98 RAM I added the flip up towing mirrors and I flipped them up when towing and left down running Bob Tail.
On my 11 Dually I flipped up to tow and they are needed in the up position with the wide body DRV. I tried folding them down and I don't like the spot mirror being vertical at the end of the mirror in the down position so I leave them up all the time. I think they look fine flipped up with a DRW.
