A little late joining on this, but a couple things caught my eye.
I have a 2011 F250 SD pulling a Montana 353RL. I have not weighed it, (planning to) but I figure about 2200 lbs. of hitch weight and I needed the air bags to keep her level. The OP indicated he barely touched the overloads. Not what I have.
Second, just for curiosity, where is the fresh water tank on the 5er? Ours is in back so I believe carrying water in the tank helps us. would this help him?
