Yes, you can install it there. That's lawyereze language. Make sure your antenna folds correctly based on the arrow of the inside crank. Once the antenna is up it doesn't care where it is on the roof. That said, there are other antennas that supposedly bring in better reception than the batwing and they don't have to be cranked up or down. Have you explored those? Perhaps someone who uses them can chime in. My experience with batwings is many years ago as we don't use ours.....Dennis
