Personally I would not do it. CO is a silent killer, and even with a CO detector it may malfunction. Even installed units have instructions about how to mount in enclosed locations for this reason. Portable units most likely have warnings about using them in enclosed locations. I would not put my family in a situation that might cost them their life. If it is to heavy for you to move alone, you might want to get someone to help you when needed. Remember Murphy's Law, if something can go wrong it can and will go wrong. JMO
