Almost any "paint treatments" from the dealer are mainly to pad their profit. It's very unlikely that it is worth the money. My guess would be that it would be a spray-on wax type application, and not worth the money you would pay.

Get the name of the treatment and do a Google search for reviews of that particular type of "protectant". But personally I would give it a pass.
