I have the Anderson and love the light weight and the ability to use it on my Ram short box. All you have to do is flip the adapter around and the pin box moves in all directions without hitting the truck box on the sides or tailgate. My 5'er has the rounded front cap so I have no issue with the making contact with the rear of the truck cab either.
While B&W makes a great product, Anderson is so simple to use and I have the use of my truck bed anytime without effort.
Hopefully you will be able to get your Curt fixed so you won't have to go through the expense of upgrading.
