I wonder how much this ^ is a part of your (our) problem with chucking.
After talking about noise from our 5th wheel hitches, I did some snooping around my hitch. The head seems tight, the jaws tight on the kingpin, but the entire hitch can be moved a bit because the leg pegs are "loose" in the rails.
If there was a way to get the pins to not slop around, I wonder if some or all of my remaining chucking would disappear?
I am very interested in your findings.
