I have the same thoughts! Just look at the 18K B&W in the pics on the last page and then tell me with a straight face the Andersen would hold up better in a crash with the RV's force upon impact pushing towards the TV.
All they talk about in their "Video" is downward compression.
If ya have an Andersen and ya love it fine if ya are looking for a new hitch really look past the infomercial type video's Andersen puts out and compare to the other top quality hitches out there.
The Andersen steel version is "RATED" at 24K towing and 4,500 pin. Sorry no way would I think about towing my 23K MS with one.
Andersen has their place just not on a heavier RV IMHO.
