ready for a better hitch...B&W or Anderson Ultimate

Story:

I'm not happy with My Curt Q16 hitch, lots of slop starting and stopping, chucking on un-even roads...althought this might not be the hitches fault.

When Starting and stopping I can see the pin box slide on the hitch head about a 1/2 inch or so. This is a new hitch and a new 5th wheel trailer ...my first.

I have bed rails, no problem with them...So I'm thinking about getting a better hitch to use with the rails and my 12,000 lb 5th wheel trailer.

I have narrowed my choices to the B&W Patriot and the Anderson Ultimate connection rail version with safety chains.

I see many good post on each, but what about choosing between the two?

Each of these hitches are we'll respected by those who own them. You'll have to decide for yourself which is right for you.

I haven't read of a failure with either. Ask yourself what you want out of a hitch and buy the one that best meets your needs.

They are both great hitches. I'd be inclined to go with the B&W.

Better than a non-slider but not quite a replacement for a full slider. Gives 5-6" extra clearance which is adequate for many.

Oh boy, here we go again...

Bottom line both are good hitches with different tradeoffs.

Have you tried contacting Curt regarding your current hitch?

Well I have a Anderson, I have never had a B&W, I have owned a Rees and Curt. A slider and none slider. I LOVE my Anderson, there is NO play whatsoever.
