Loulou, I bought the wired one. Go to costco's website, (costco.ca) and check out the wireless model, all the specs are there.

Thanks, I took a look. When you go on Ontario Cosco only one shows up but on Cosco BC there are more than one, LOL

I didn't get the info we need. One has the camera range giving 50'. What we need to know is how far away from the the receiver can we mount the camera. We need 50'. The camera's hubby has checked already don't have that range.

How far is your camera mounted away from the receiver/screen in your TV. Tanks for the info. I just read your post again and yours is wired ours has to be wireless.

  • I bought a simple wireless unit at Sam's Club. I had to make a custom mount out of plastic. It's mounted above the license plate next to the license plate light.

One with a 50 foot range might be hard to find. I extended the cable from camera to transmitter using shielded cable from Radio Shack. This way I could mount the transmitter in the front of the fifth wheel getting it within its 25 foot range.

Best price I could find in Canada was at costco.ca I bought a Rear View Safety from them for about $320, comes with a 7 in monitor. I got the wired model, but it also comes in wireless. They also sell a model with a quick disconnect plug that might work well for you. It seems pretty well built and the reviews are good. I am in the process of installing it in my class C, camera is in and cable is run, but have not yet hooked up to power and installed monitor so I can't tell you how it works. I'm waiting for the snow to melt so I can complete the job.

You can wire these to come on automatically when switching to reverse, but you can also wire the reverse switch wire together with the power wire to have it on all the time. That's what I'm going to do so I can keep an eye on the dirt bikes or boat I sometimes tow.

Sorry to but in...If you still have the pkg and info could you possibly see what the range is please? We need a wireless that has over a 50' range. How does it mount? A lot are magnetic that don't work well on a fiberglass unit.
