Reccomend hitch adaptor?

I currently have the CODY COUPLER. Pulling a 40ft, 16Klbs Alfa trailer, I've been told by many that I need a B&amp;W hitch. I haven't had any problems with the CODY but also don't want to get caught in a bind either... Any reviews on either? Much appreciated.

I use the Star Performance Kingpin (Gooseneck) Adapter, it includes a built in glider motion that reduces most back and forth stress or "chucking" to tow my 14K Fiver since 07.  Google it for specifics.
