IMO, if you already have a 2500HD, or equivalent 3/4 ton with appropriate diesel engine, you CAN "jazz" it up to handle extra weight. No, it won't change the sticker on the door pillar re GVWR, but it will allow you to avoid blow outs, etc. I installed Air Lift airbags and Vision 19.5" wheels with BFG, ST230, 19.5" tires. Not going to blow out those babies. I've towed mine for a couple of thousand miles now, in heavy winds with no problems. Good luck.
