I have the Sidewinder (same product) and it is a marvelous product. I don't "need" it (longbed truck with sliding Reese hitch), but it provides some "non-obvious" advantage beyond the original "save your rear truck window" function.
With the Sidewinder's 17" leverage, and 13" of slide in my hitch, I can place the maneuvering pivot point some 30" behind my rear axle. This makes parking my rig in tight spaces a dream, almost equivalent to backing a tag-hitch trailer.
Worthwhile option.
