Ref working without batteries
I need to leave my 5th/W in storage for a week, If I shut the batteries off will the ref. still run on propane. Need to turn off the batteries so the carbon monoxide don't kill them.. Has anyone done that before.

Times like these I appreciate my 1999 2 way fridge that lacks any electronic controls and will run on propane without batteries. Tiny fridge, and never really worked that great in warm weather, but this is one perk.Old-Biscuit wrote:

Then I realized that I have no way of knowing that it WILL either.
I think it is likely that a single battery won't last.....but that two or more will.
A test would be in order.- Foods bad, portions are small, service is slow, but at least the price is low!
- Thanks for all the replies. We did it once before for 5 days, and the batteries were very low we had to plug into the truck to raise the 5th/W. maybe we can find a campground with elect.in the storage area.
- Um, solar panel to keep the battery(ies) charged?
Lyle - I would recommend 100 watts solar for every RV.
